The legal step usually comes before the tax step

You cannot sell the flat until the power of attorney is right. You cannot file for the estate until the heirs are on the record. You cannot move on until the decree is recognised. We put that part in front of an independent practising advocate, and we handle the tax that follows.

What people bring us

Most of it starts the same way: something in India needs a signature, a record changed, or a dispute settled, and you are not in the country to do it.

Signing from abroad

Power of attorney for a sale or purchase, getting it attested where you live, and getting it stamped and registered in India.

Property

Title checks before a sale, registration, mutation, a tenant who will not leave, a relative occupying the house, builder delay, a co-owner blocking a sale.

Inheritance and succession

A will for Indian assets, probate, legal heir and succession certificates, transferring shares, deposits and property into the heirs' names.

Family

Divorce filed in India or abroad, whether a foreign decree is recognised here, maintenance, custody, and marriage registration.

Business

Contracts with Indian counterparties, a shareholder or founder dispute, trademark, recovering money owed, arbitration.

Why this sits next to the tax work

Almost every matter above has a tax step waiting on the other side of it. A property sale needs a lower-TDS certificate before the buyer deducts. An inherited flat needs a cost basis worked out before it is sold. Money leaving India needs the accountant certificates. A divorce settlement moves assets, and the timing changes what is taxable.

Most people discover the tax step late, after the legal one is already done badly. Doing both in one place is the whole point: the advocate handles the matter, and the CA side is ours.
