Honest CA pricing for NRIs
Others may quote ₹5,000.
Then bill you ₹40,000.
We don't. Every NRI case is different — a Form 13 for a ₹50L flat is not the same as a ₹5cr property. ITR-2 with 401(k) is not the same as without. Section 148 at month 1 is not the same as at month 3.
So we don't insult you with a one-size-fits-all price list. We listen first. Then we quote — in writing, complete, no surprise add-ons.
The name says Trustfor a reason — and we don't get to keep it without earning it every time.
How we're different
The honest CA vs the common one.
Same words on the invoice. Very different experience.
The honest CA
TrustNRI
The common CA
What most NRIs end up with

Generalist who treats you like any resident client
Rework on us if we miss anything
Refile fee every rejection round
Tracked weekly on WhatsApp, dates in writing
Messages read, replies eventually
Pre-verified before filing — first-time clearance
Filed first, rejected later — six-month rework loop
The hidden bill
What "₹5,000 for the filing" actually costs you.
A line on a quote sheet is not a price. It's an opening bid. The figures below are illustrative ranges, drawn from invoices NRIs share with us when they switch.
Block 1 · The base quote
- "Professional fee"
- ₹5,000 — looks reasonable
- What it covers
- The signature, sometimes
- What it doesn't
- Documentation, follow-up, rework
Block 2 · The add-ons appear (typical)
- Documentation fee
- ₹2,000 – ₹5,000
- Office visit
- ₹3,000 – ₹8,000 per round
- "Misc reimbursement"
- Uncapped
Block 3 · The rework round
- Form 13 rejected first time
- Common at firms that don't pre-verify
- Refile fee
- Charged again, each round
- Time lost
- 2 – 6 months per rejection
By the time the work is done, the ₹5,000 quote is closer to ₹40,000. And six months have passed.
The 6-month hole
Form 13 rejected. Now what?
A lower-TDS certificate must match what's in your bank, your AIS, your TDS history. Miss one document, miss one date — the AO returns it: rejected, please resubmit.
Round 1
Filed without pre-verification. Rejected in 4–6 weeks. The CA blames the department.
Round 2
Refiled with one fix. Rejected on a different ground this time. Another refile fee on your invoice.
Round 3
Finally accepted, five months in. Your buyer has moved on. Your property deal is on hold. A 60-day process became a 6-month-plus problem — with funds stuck in India until it's resolved.
One number. That's the number.
The quote you get is the quote you pay.
You hear the price for your service before we touch a paper. Written, complete, inclusive of every line item.

We put it in writing
A date, not a "we'll see."
When you engage us, you get a calendar date for filing and a calendar date for expected closure. Both in writing. Both tracked on WhatsApp.
Filing date
Agreed up-front in your engagement note. Specific to your service — Form 13, Form 10F, 15CA/15CB each have a typical turnaround window we share with you before you commit.
Weekly status
Every Friday, or sooner if there's movement. No "send me a reminder next month." The next date and the next action are always visible.
If we slip
You hear it from us the day we know — not the day you ask. The replacement date, the reason, and what changes for you next.
The one-shot filing
Why our filings clear first time.
We physically pre-verify every document against TRACES, AIS, 26AS and the underlying paperwork beforewe file — whether it's a Form 13, your annual NRI ITR, a 15CA/15CB for a remittance, or a Form 10F renewal. The work cheap CAs charge a separate "documentation fee" for? That's part of the filing here — and it's what makes first-time clearance possible across all of it.
TRACES-level verification
Every TDS entry reconciled before the certificate request is filed. No surprise mismatches with the deductor's filing.
AIS / 26AS cross-check
Every income line in our filing matches the department's view. No reconciliation queries land in your inbox six weeks later.
Pre-submission AO call
On high-value or complex cases, we open a professional line of communication with the AO's office before submission. Potential queries get anticipated and pre-empted — not reacted to weeks later, after the file is already stuck.
Why the name
"Trust" isn't a tagline. It's the deal.
When we picked the name TrustNRI, we knew exactly what we were signing up for. NRIs have been burned enough by Indian professional services. Late filings. Vanishing CAs. WhatsApp messages on read for three weeks. Invoices that arrive with new line items.
Trustis the word that doesn't recover from a single miss. Once it's gone, it's gone. So we built the firm in a way that makes the trust hard to break in the first place:
Pricing
- Published, fixed, inclusive
- No version of you gets surprised by the bill
Timeline
- Dates in writing, weekly updates
- No version of you waits in silence
Filing
- Pre-verified before submission
- No version of you reads the rejection email first
If we miss, you hear it from us first. If we're wrong, we fix it on our cost. Whatever it takes.
That's the deal.
